Flatwater Playboating / Skills / Rolling on the lake
« on: October 05, 2007, 09:37:29 AM »
I have recently discussed trying to get a bit of a flat water session happening once a week or so, who is interested, can start at ~5:30 while we are in daylight losings and move to a later time if that suits when daylight savings starts.

Time?
Frequency? Weekly? Fortnightley? Monthly?

Discuss.

Hi Alex,

that sounds great, any day except Tuesday's.
I am paddling C1 and could do with some extra excercises on top of what Mick has told me.

cheers

Alex - I'm keen to get involved & do more skills work.

For anything 'formal', weekly might be too often - to me an hr or so every 2nd weekend on a Sunday arvo or something sounds good.  Maybe more chance of getting more people, more often ...  And if get to Penrith once a month, can get a bit of a training plan going.

But if weeknights easier for people - I'm easy, lets just pick a night & go for it.  Maybe a 6pm kickoff in daylights savings might be easier for those of us who aren't idle uni students ....  If I did get a say, I'm more of a Mon or Wed person than a Tue/Thu person ....

cheers,
Derek

Sounds like a good idea to me.  I'd try to get along now and then, but don't think I could commit to a regular weekly.  Thurs arvos could be good.  Maybe a every 2 or three weeks?

Any ideas on the location?

I could manage most days, and would be keen for a session or two.

I'd turn up when I could - no particular night of the week is better or worse for me
