What's the meeting place? I'm tossing up a run from Pt Hut with Rohan... but would love to run Red Rocks (first time). Russ

Russ

Do you have a solid roll?  Have you been running point hut to pine island? Best not to rush down Red Rocks until you have built your skills. If you believe you are ready then give me a call

Howdy - I am completely new to this river but have run Upper Nymboida and several Grade IV-V rivers in Europe. Solid hand and paddle roll. I will stick with Pt Hut this arvo... to fit round family. Might put one of my sons in our double.

Heaps keen to get to know u guys and discover all the M has to offer. I'll keep an eye out for next trip.

Cheers

Russ

Hi Griff

Met Russ today in the Pine Island carpark.  Didn't get to paddle with him but after talking, I would be very comfortable paddling anything around this region with him.

Charlotte and Michael from the ANU mountaineering club would be both ok for a red rocks run as well.

Roh thanks for the heads up.

Russ paddling the Snowy on 17 Sep if you are keen.  Will likely get on Red Rocks prior to that.

Exciting stuff.

I can't do 17th (gotta hot date  :P ) or 30th... but one of the October releases might work.

Used to dream of running the Snowy when I first saw it in a Wild Magazine as a kid.

This is a part of the snowy that has only had water probably less than 20 or so (?) times since the scheme went in back in the 60s, since its right below the Jindabyne Dam.  Its really good.
