Red Rocks Fri arv and Sat Schoaly Sunday??
« on: November 14, 2013, 03:32:50 PM »
Thought Id start a new thread for the hell of it...

Any one keen for a Red Rocks Run on Friday Arv maybe 430pm?

If the levels hold a Lobs run and Red Rocks on Saturday?

And a Schoaly if the level stays around 1m on Sunday- maybe even get Stu and Geoff on the powerlines run?

Im hoping to see the elusive James and Brad out, Im keen to get the no 1`s autograph at some stage. BOOM!

Hi Mick,

I can do either saturday or sunday, saturday is best, but cant meet til 11 for a local run (red rocks or angle) as we've got kids sport in the morning. Would be happy to try schoalie on saturday if it is feasible meeting midday, sunday is possible but less certain. I am keen though! Will watch posts or sms me

Kay

I am in for Friday paddle RR at 4:30 ;D

Lets paddle early Sat,  8 as posted by James or can do earlier 7?

I think that the Shoalie is going to hold for Sun.  This is an excellent opportunity for a first decent.  Stu and Geoff you both need to make this happen :o  Anyone else who has not yet done the Shoalie and is interested should consider.  You need to have a roll and solid in Grade 3 water.  This is a cracking river.  Happy to consider a IC2 run for a less confident paddler whop wants to experience a special river.

I think that the Shoalie is going to hold for Sun.

<0.9. Although I don't have any fancy tables and equations to back this up  ;)

Spewing have kids swimming can't get to queanbeyan until a bit later, so again the shoalie evades me. Have been able to wiggle out of kids cricket on Saturday and can make the 8.00 start for whatever run(s)James and griff et al are into... Unless shoalie trip also up Saturday? Looks like those beers you spoke of mick will have to wait. Stu

If beers are on for swimmers I best pack my boardies and a dodgy roll ;-) realistically on Sunday it would be 11 at queanbeyan . Will try for a wiggle out but it's a stretch

Hoping i can steel some knowledge from someone. Heading down the shoalhaven tommorow morning. I have done the trip a few times and normally use kens place but his home number is not working and mobile rings out all week. Does anybody have the contact for river right at peggies gully.
By the way room for 2 in a raft powerlins to chimnies. Another group is picking up rafts from their to tallawa dam.
Walking out Sunday/ Monday
Many thanks in advance

Would be really keen for a Schoaly run on Sunday but I'll have to check with the boss on this.  I've got some catching up around the house to get sorted so I'll keep you posted.

Might be up for a bounce down the shoalhaven Sunday if its not too early and I'm not too hungover.

There's plenty o water in the bidgee for a lobs run.  I did red rocks yesterday evening at about 3.5m, and it was still on its way up.

As for the shoalie, I'm less convinced about its prospects.

Okay, so I've made a fancy spreadsheet, which suggests that, if current trends continue;

Shoalie will be 0.92 at 9am tomorrow and 0.84 on Sunday morning, bearing in mind that my models seem to underestimate levels slightly and since the river has only peaked about 18 hours ago, its likely to be less accurate than
