General Paddling Talk / My paddle is wet...
« on: November 22, 2010, 09:27:10 PM »
There is water inside my paddle shaft.
It is an ORIGINZ NEVIS BLUFF

What should I do? :-\

(if it had a rivet holding the blade on like my old one, i'd just rip it off, empty it and silicone it up, but it doesn't look that simple)

General Paddling Talk / Beginnner (ish!)
« on: November 11, 2010, 06:17:33 PM »
Hi everybody.

I have just bought my first proper whitewater kayak, and after a week of paddling (every day ;D) I am super keen to meet some people for some river runs.

Background: I have owned a sit-on-top for several years, and taken it past its boundaries several times on grade one and two rapids on the Barrington River (North of Newcastle) and the Murrumbidgee (Casuarina to Uriarra in high water) .
Then last week I got myself a second hand Dagger from Wetspot, had a lesson on Friday (thanks James) and hit the Barrington River for two easy runs in high water. Was brilliant fun!

So now I am super keen for some paddling!

Brad.
