Wetspot has recently got its first shipment of Big dog kayaks, we have had the boats out a few times and have been very happy with them wetspot has 3 models the flux been a more playfull river runner, the force and more forgiving river runner and the dropzone creeker. These boats are good option if you are chasing a cheap creeker or a easy boat to get on the rivers. Big Dog kayaks retail for $1399

Recent floods have indeed washed away the nasty low level bridge downstream of the Cotter Playwave, tis now safer until such time the bridge is restored. A few foggy pics (me doing the super tricky front and side surf play moves  and Scotty acually playboating from yesterday morning, and a quick video.Worth getting on the wave at the moment for sure!

I was fortunate enough to attend Real Fun Adventure’s River Rescue Course run by Rohan and Nick last weekend. Course was a really great and was really nice to meet up with some new crew. I’m sure Im not alone in recommending this course to all paddlers old and new as both really useful and excellent value. Thanks again to Nick, Rohan for their time and effort and James and the Wetspot crew for organising Saturday night (even though I couldn’t make it). A few pics from day 1… forgot the cam for day 2 so if anyone took some shots of the scenarios/ wraps and pins they would be great to see!
